The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is a productivity laptop that stands out from the crowd because of its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 CPU, the first of its kind in the world. From May 2023, the model will be available in a variety of configurations, and its mix of Windows ARM and Qualcomm CPUs has already piqued the interest of many customers. It’s another laptop that’s definitely designed for mobility, with a battery life of up to 28 hours. But… what more does it has to give you? We’ll learn more about the major characteristics of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s in this article.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s has a body made of recyclable magnesium and plastic that holds a 13.3-inch IPS display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent and a 13.3-inch IPS display in 16:10 format. In addition, this screen has a 400-nit brightness. The availability of a 5 MP camera with intelligent AI framing and infrared technology compatible with Windows Hello sticks out here.

One of the most notable features of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is the inclusion of an ARM-based Qualcomm processor: the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 with a five-nanometer technology. This CPU is compatible with up to 32 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 1 TB of PCIe SSD storage, and a 49.5 Whr battery that claims up to 28 hours of battery life, thanks to the processor’s energy efficiency. As a result, the operating system may be up to Windows 11 Pro ARM, with older apps emulating on x64 for Windows 11.

Finally, the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 subsystem is still present in the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, which supports WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E networks as well as Bluetooth 5.2. The device also supports the Snapdragon X55 modem and 5G mmWave and Sub-6 GHz connection.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is obviously built for those who require a laptop that can function without a power outlet all day. It’s geared at individuals who are productive and, in particular, those who rely on Microsoft’s office applications. We anticipate the model’s initial testing, assessments, and evaluations, but we do not expect the gaming community will adopt it. That isn’t the point of this journal, either. It’s definitely aimed at a more “serious” audience, with very specific goals for using or studying the technology.
